A Study On Wear Characteristic Of TBM Disc Cutters

Tunnel boring machine is the main equipment of metro tunnel engineering, water conservancy and hydropower engineering. As a key component of the hob breaking rock tunnel boring machine, the life and wear of the Disc cutter directly impact on the efficiency, cost and construction quality of the tunnel boring machine. Thus, Disc cutter ring material preparation and wear research have become one of the key research in the field of tunnel boring machine.First of all, on the basis of studying the performance of the existing cutter ring material, thesis uses different heat treatment plans to do the experiment of selecting the cutter ring material. The different heat processing experiments of cutter ring material include impact experiment, rockwell hardness test, microstructure observation and material wear test. Thesis analyses the relationship between toughness, hardness, microstructure and wear properties of the cutter ring material under different quenching and tempering temperature, gets the optimal heat treatment scheme of new cutter ring material, and contrasts material properties between the material under the heat processing and the actual cutter ring material.Secondly, based on the method of linear regression, the parameters of the excavation, the structure parameters of the cutter ring and the wear of the disc cutter are analyzed. According to the analysis results, thesis guides the selection of parameters and tool replacement of tunnel boring machines in the construction site. Based on the results of data analysis, the software of wear prediction is made by LabVIEW software.Finally, thesis designs the rock powder abrasion test rig, proofreads the test bench drive shaft structure, and uses Ansys Workbench to proceed static and modal analysis of the rock powder abrasion test rig. It analyzes the stress, deformation and the resonance frequency of the test rig.
