Research About Entrance Space Design Of Hotel

With the pace of reform and opening up, the exchange activities of the international trade become more frequently than before.As a result,more and more attention are being paid to the development of hotel building. The history of hotel building development is earlier in foreign countries,which has already formed a relatively systematic design results.After China joined WTO,the new technology and design ideas have been spread to the domestic ceaseless, which made the domestic architecture have developed rapidly in such a trend.According to recent media reports,scenic spots all over the country were always packed with people during holidays. The increasing number of tourists has brought more opportunity to the development of the hotel industry. In the case of increased turnover, hotel industry also faced with a number of competitors.Therefore, how to maximize the attractiveness of the hotel to achieve the purpose of attracting customers is still an important issue deserved to make a further research in the design and management of the hotel.Entrance space as a sequence of architectural space of the hotel is the hotel’s image. when step into at the time, a good experience of customer’s may directly decide on the overall impression to the hotel. Entrance is like a prelude of the song or an opening of the book, which is one of the most important space in the hotel room undoubtedly. Good entrance space design for the hotel construction can increase a wonderful side and play a role of finishing touch. Conversely, it would affects the entire building’s spatial experience.Combining a large number of theoretical analysis,this article explore the structure of spatial and composition of function about the hotel entrance space,summarize the existing theories and discover shortcomings in the design of hotel’s entrance space under the basis practical investigation.Then, the propose of hotel entrance space design strategies are given on the basis of a detailed analysis to the problems, which were expected to be able to supply the future design of entrance space with some valuable research results.The details are as follows:First part is an introduction part, which clearly gave the purpose and significance of the study and summarized on the research status for both home and abroad to define the contents and methods about the research; Second part are contained with thedescription of concepts on hotel and the entrance space,also about composition and characteristics of the hotel’s elaborate entrance space; Third part is the design and analysis of four systems: hotel entrance of outdoor space, entrance of indoor space,entrance of indoor outside conversion space and entrance of indoor outside landscape,which lay a theoretical foundation for the later;Fourth part is about field research,which can use questionnaire and case analysis to look up advantages and weaknesses in the design of the hotel, carrying on the contrast,analysis and evaluation to the cases of the research and finding the shortcomings in the design of hotel entrance under the investigation.Last part are the design principles and strategies of hotel entrance space,which are based on previous research.
