Nuclear power valve prototype fixture seismic testing is the research object in this paper. It introduces the research status and development trend of its vibration test fixture home and abroad, analyzes the dynamic process of simulated seismic tests, and describes the development and the principle of modal analysis and finite element analysis method. In the fixture design chapter, it also in-depth research of fixture design methods, steps, and issues that requires attention. According to the requirements of project, the first, designed the test fixture in design theory, then established 3D modeling by using of computer-aided design software and using Ansys finite element analysis software for the tooling modal of the modal analysis. By analyzing the comparison, its structure was repeated revised. Ultimately get the structure model of the best natural frequency, so as to achieve the purpose of guiding structure design. After practical vibration test, there is a large deviation between self vibration frequency and the first natural frequency of model. Through the reasons analysis, the original model and the test fixture were improved, final by re-testing, research objectives of the project basically achieved.
