Transmission and distribution network analys is software is an important application for the calculation and analysis of the transmission and distribution network, so it is widely used in planning, design and research of the power grid. But the current softwares have some limitations in versatility and openness, and some problems in maintainability and extensibility. Therefore, it has important theoretical significance and practical value to develop a transmission and distribution network analysis software that bears good versatility, strong compatibility and easy to maintain.First, the paper analyzes the overall structure, performance requirements and module function of the transmission and distribution network analysis software, summarizes the IEC61970 series of standard including common information model(CIM) and component interface standard(CIS), contrasts the current communication technology and researches the communication technology of the WCF deeply which is applied to the system. Then, according to the actual needs of power system, it analyzes the generic data access interface(GDA) and the high speed data access interface(HSDA) in the CIS and builds the organization form of the data model; based on the object-oriented technology, using the unified modeling language(UML) designs the interface of the system; it also completes the analysis and finishing work for the power resources unified coding. Finally, the paper discusses applying the WCF technology to build communication framework of the distributed system, and realize the client and server data communication.In the integration environment of Visual Studio 2013, write the server and client GDAand HSDA interface components by C# for the distributed transmission and distribution network analysis software. Based on building the prototype system, it writes a relevant test program, and through the GDAand HSDA interface, the data in the server could be browsed and accessed to verify the correctness and rationality with the design of the interface.
