With the acceleration of urbanization process and the growth of population, many cities are faced with water shortages, serious water pollution and frequently urban water logging. This seriously affects the development of the city. Rainwater resources can be used to complement the urban water resources, deduce urban non-point source pollution and prevent urban water logging. So, development and utilization of urban rainwater resources, has become an important way of urban sustainable development.This research is accession to a large number of city rainwater utilization literatures at home and abroad. Via relatively systematic analysis and estimation rainwater utilization potential of Chengdu city, propose rainwater utilization technology suitable for Chengdu city, preliminary build the Chengdu city rainwater utilization mode. The main results are as follows:(1) Carrying on related concepts elaborate, analyzed the analysis method of rain water quality and rain water and made a detailed analysis of urban rainwater collection, storage, processing and infiltration process of a variety of technology, summarizes the applicability and advantages and disadvantages of various technologies.(2)Take Xindu district as the research object, combined with the theoretical calculation, by using GIS software as a supplementary means, on the basis of detailed analysis of rainwater resources of Xindu district, estimate the Xindu district of Chengdu city within the scope of use of rainwater resource of 17 million cubic meters a year, equivalent to 1.1 of district total annual mixed with water, in addition the rain water quality pollution of Chengdu city is lighter, thus the rainwater utilization of Chengdu city has huge potential.(3) Through the analysis of natural disaster and water resources situation of Chengdu city, combination the situation of Chengdu city and the applicability of rainwater resource utilization technology, Put forward the technology suitable of Chengdu city for every link of rainwater resource utilization. Preliminary build the regional different types and different types of rainwater catchments surface utilization mode, improve the comprehensive utilization of rainwater utilization system.(4)Analyzed efficiency of Chengdu city rainwater utilization from three aspects: economic, social and environment, Analysis results show that the Chengdu city to carry out the rainwater resources use not only has considerable economic benefits, And has great ecological benefit and social benefit.
