The enclosure is an essential structure type in our courtyard culture: all sorts of enclosures are widely applied in our country. The traditional enclosure is given priority to with unreinforced masonry structure, there are outstanding problems of structure security is low, material consumption is large, the product cost is high, occupy large field area and the construction efficiency is low. Especially in recent years, the accidents caused by enclosures collapsing were common, has caused the social extensive concern. Therefore, using reinforced block masonry structure system, according to the factory assembled production mode to build walls, to increase the safety of the wall, to reduce the engineering cost, improve the efficiency of construction has the important value of engineering application. This paper in view of the traditional unreinforced masonry walls shortcomings and weaknesses, made a factory fabricated reinforced block masonry structure wall, from two aspects of design and construction, has solved the traditional unreinforced masonry walls in many engineering problems.This paper mainly aims at the bearing capacity calculation of reinforced block masonry walls, foundation form,factory production, site installation etc. were studied, and the main research content includes the following three aspects:(1) The out-of-plane bearing capacity of reinforced block masonry walls are calculated based on “line-style” wall cross section of no wall battlements. Proved that the reference wind pressure is less than 0.6kN/m2, wall height within the scope of 2.4 m, with 190 mm thick reinforced block masonry walls can meet the requirements of bearing capacity, than unreinforced masonry walls have a higher security.(2) Factory fabricated reinforced block masonry walls is studied in form of pier foundation, proved that the use of reinforced block masonry pier foundation satisfies the requirement of bearing capacity, and can save a lot of material. And through a variety of measures to solve the cold region of foundation soil frost heave caused by damaged walls and base frost heaving deformation is too large.(3) Factory fabricated reinforced block masonry walls is studied in the production, assembly and connection of the wall and foundation, proved by factory assembled production mode to build the feasibility of the technology of the enclosure, raise the efficiency of wall construction.
