Weighing management is an important part of logistics management. The conversion of material flow to cash flow is mostly realized by the weighing information flow. Therefore, the benefits of enterprises are affected directly by the accuracy of weighing and the scientific management.The peeling, storage, printing and other functions in traditional truck scale system are realized in weighing indicator. However, the storage space of the weighing indicators is limited, which have gradually been replaced by computers with weighing management software. The truck management software is mainly aimed at logistics management in our country currently. Although the data management efficiency of weighing is improved, some more aspects still need to be further refined, such as intelligent fault-tolerance and information fusion in weighing result calculation, and the reliability, standardization, and security of data management and so on. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop a new kind of intelligent truck scale management software.In this paper, an intelligent truck scale management system which is developed in C# is designed under Visual Studio 2005 with SQL Server database platform. In terms of the shortage of current truck scale management software, this paper focuses on how to improve the accuracy of weighing and the intelligence in data inputting, querying, statistics, and the management of truck scale. The RBF neural network information fusion method is used in this system. A new kind of load cells correlation model is used to achieve intelligent fault-tolerance while 2 or less load cells are fail. The multi-source information fusion method is used to compensate eccentric error and linearity error of the truck scale automatically. In data management, Crystal Report which is combined with SQL Server 2005 database is used to show highly formatted weighing information. Enter information by input controls with intelligent prompt which are specially designed. The intelligent truck scale management system provides flexible and optimize methods to query data or to compile statistics about weighting information, which make the exact queries and fuzzy queries come true under multi-condition. The data communications between the lower computer and the host computer are secure and stable, because of the technologies of software handshaking and CRC coding. The loading of the modules in the weighing management system is base on the solution of user rights, that ensuring the security of the system. The automatic backup strategy and the manual backup strategy are combined to protect the weighing information from danger.The intelligent truck scale management system designed in this paper has advantages, such as the simple operation, the less manual intervention, the high intelligence and the stable data communication. Furthermore, the system is powerful in intelligent fault-tolerance and fusion calculation. The intelligent truck scale is verified in field by Liuzhou Institute of Metrology and Measurement Technology. The certified results show that the performance of the intelligent truck scale is better than that of scales with medium accuracy defined by Chinese National Standards "JJG539-97 Verification Regulation of Digital Indicating Weighing Instrument". The global error is no more than 0.7% when one load cell is broken, which is lower than the design requirement (global error<1%). When two load cells are broken, the global error is no more than 0.8%, which is also smaller than the design requirement (global error<3%).
