Research On Science And Technology Innovation And Economic Operation Efficiency In Fujian Province

Fujian is a comprehensive reform experimental zone and one of the earliestprovinces that executes the policy open to the outside world. Taking Fujian as themain body，the economic zone on the west side of Taiwan Straits is an important partof our country coastal economy belt. Innovation of science and technology is therevolutionary force to promote the economic development. This paper aims to studythe positive relationships between the innovation of science and technology and theeconomic operation efficiency. Firstly，this paper calculates the economic operationefficiency of Fujian Province during1990-2010with the aid of the DEA method.Secondly，an empirical research on the dynamic relationships between the innovationof science and technology and the economic operation efficiency of Fujian Provinceusing the co-integration test，error correction model，Granger Causality Test methodand etc are performed on using four scientific and technologic indexes according withinput and output. Thirdly，the Support Vector Regression is applied to forecast theshort-term economic operation efficiency of Fujian Province based on the analysis ofthe factors which affect the economic operation efficiency of Fujian province.According to some shortages of the innovation of science and technology to promotethe economic operation efficiency in Fujian province, some necessarycountermeasures and advices are put forth.
