The electric power industry is the basis of the national welfare and the people’s livelihood. It was influenced by planned economy deeply. With the breaking of monopoly management pattern, the power industry marketing has gradually become an important research subject for electric power enterprise in an era of marketing competition. And formulating the marketing strategy that is suitable for its own area has become one of the most important tasks what is urgently needed to solve for electric power enterprises.Inner Mongolia power (group) co., LTD is the only provincial grid enterprise that is independent of the state grid. The company’s marketing strategies decide the market pattern of other pledge city’s power supply bureau. According to the related theory of marketing, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis to the particularity of Inner Mongolia electric power company and overall environment of marketing, this paper analyze and put forward the marketing strategy which adapt to the development of Inner Mongolia electric power company using porter five model and SWOT model. The purpose is to promote the comprehensive work of electric power marketing, further establish responsibility and electric brand, improve company economic benefit and social benefit, and to make great contribution to an economic boom of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the development of power grid.
