As the Sino-US diplomatic relations was established in1979, the Sino-US trade developed rapidly. The development of Sino-US trade from1979to the present can be divided into three stages——the infancy(1979-1992), the developing stage (1993-2001), the rapid development stage (2002-now). Since1993, China’s trade with the U.S. is from deficit to surplus. The imbalance of Sino-US trade became more serious since the21st century. While the Chinese economy emerged to the second largest economy and China’s trade surplus expanded, the United States started to critise China’s trade in an attempt to contain China’s economic growth. In response to U.S. trade criticism, the analysis of the cause of Sino-US trade imbalance and the assignment of the vital interests frome the Sino-US trade imbalance is becoming more and more importat. Firstly, the articles arranged the theory of intra-product specialization and the trade conditions among the China,United States and East Asia. Secondly, the articles created a model about the cause of Sino-US trade imbalance, and the model regard the part’s export from East Asia’s to China, the United States’s FDI to China, the RMB exchange rate and the difference between China and the U.S. savings rate as independent variables. Thirdly, the article analyzed the China’s interests getting from the Sino-US trade imbalance under the perspective of intro-product specialization. The analysis of the article revealed that the cause of Sino-US trade imbalance is the East Asia’s intra-product specialization, and China got small benefits from the Sino-US trade, which can serve as a basis for refuting the US’s criticism and breaking the U.S. economy attempts to contain China.
