Research On The Correlation Between Environmental Information Disclosure And Enterprise Value Of Listed Companies In Papermaking Industry

Recently, environment issues become more and more seriously. The events ofpollutions occur more and more frequently. In2013, many province and city in ourcountry have frequent hazy weather. Nowadays, people pay more attentions on theenvironment issues. Enterprises as the main polluters of the environment should bearthe corresponding responsibility. The level and quality of corporate disclosure ofenvironmental information can reflect the performance of the corporate environmentalresponsibility. As everyone knows, enterprises need spend much money to improve theenvironment. Could the cost bring the corresponding income for enterprises and couldthe cost improve the value of enterprises? These issues have caused wide attention ofenterprise managers. This thesis studies the relationship between the paper industryenvironmental information disclosure and enterprise value. At first, three aspects ofenvironmental information disclosure (ratio, mode and content) have been taken into theanalysis of the current situation of the paper industry’s environmental informationdisclosure and problems. Select the31paper industry listing Corporation as samples byusing empirical analysis method. By using the SPSS19.0statistical analysis softwarethis thesis make descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regressionanalysis for the sample data. In the end, this thesis derived the relationship betweenenvironmental disclosure and corporate value and advised on improving the level ofcorporate environmental information disclosure.
