Economic lodging found the market vacancy and overturned the business mode that star hotel and ordinary small hotel had, so it has made rapid development in our country. Many well-known economy lodging chain giant like Home Inns,7days Inns, Jinjiang Inn, Hanting Hotels, Super8Hotels and so on emerge in large numbers after10years of development. However, as the economy hotel amount has increased dramatically, industry competition is intense, and profit space is shrinking. The business model of economy lodging is facing to innovation, only business model innovation to win the future market initiative. In this paper, firstly it defined the economy lodging; Secondly it researched business model innovation theory; Finally Combining with our country’s economy lodging development condition on the background of our country hotel industry development, this paper did the empirical research in Home Inns that was representative brand,also it was suggested that the value activities, marketing channel, reforming customer base, income model, cooperation network, advanced technology and so on six aspects to innovation to improve business model.
