Employee turnover is one of the hot topics in research field of management andenterprises. Focus on how to reduce employee turnover and improve employeesatisfaction has increased. Most of the relevant works only adopt general principles ofemployee turnover to direct the practice, but rarely research on certain budget hotel.Therefore, finding out the real reason of employee turnover, reduce employee turnoverand improve employee satisfaction are of great significance for Home Inns’ futuredevelopment.Based on the comprehensive review of concepts and models of employeeturnover and effective factors, the thesis explores present situation related toemployee turnover of Changsha Home Inns and its adverse effects. The researchcollects data from the interviews of some former employees and the survey of presentemployees’ work satisfaction and turnover intention, and analyzes the results andindicates the reason why employees are satisfied with their work or not. Thus itpoints out the reason of high employee turnover directly and deeply.Combining practical situation of Home Inns with theories and practices of budgethotel management, the thesis provides improvement strategies from dimensions ofhuman resource management system and perfects the inspirited. Finally, the thesispoints out the potential obstruction in the process of implementing managementstrategies, and advises to build the supporting system from aspects of company culture,employee training and collaboration system, and sets up evaluation and feedbacksystem to make sure the implementation of improving management strategies.
