| As one of theoretical achievements developed by business economics and managementscience during explore the origin of enterprise’s sustainable competitive advantage, corecompetency of enterprise has become increasingly important to enterprises and will play asignificance role in promoting their sustainable development. As China’s economydevelopment, more enterprises have begun to pay attention to the identification andimprovement of the core competency. Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Co., Ltd. which islocated in Ordos, a city abundant in coal resources, is a typical local large-sized energyenterprise and now is in the period of industry upgrading and structural transformation.Therefore, it is of practical significance to study the core competency of the company.Based on studying theories of the core competency and characteristics of coal enterprises,this paper analyzed the factors affecting core competency of coal enterprises by the meansof interview, and constructed measurement indicator system and model. In the case studyof Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Co., Ltd., the paper adopted normative research integratedwith empirical research, likewise qualitative analysis integrated with quantitative analysis,and then provided suggestions in terms of core competency construction of the company.In the aspect of content, the paper first reviewed the origin of core competency theory aswell as domestic and foreign research trends, and summarized connotation, factors andevaluation methods of the core competency. Based on studying theories of the corecompetency and characteristics of coal enterprises, this paper analyzed the factors affectingcore competency of coal enterprises by the means of interview, and constructedmeasurement indicator system and model. Integrated with characteristics of coal industry,the paper classified and analyzed the connotation and factors of coal enterprises’ corecompetency, then the paper constructed measurement indicator system for coal enterprisesin terms of core competency, which could provide theoretical evidence for following partof the paper to analyze core competency of Inner Mongolia Yitai Co., Ltd. The indicatorsystem in the paper comprised two levels with4indexes in level one and30in level two.The paper empowered the analytic hierarchy process and constructed measurement modelof core competency for coal enterprises. Finally, the paper adopted the model to evaluatethe core competency of Yitai Group, and provided detailed suggestions to improve thecompetency of the company. |
