Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of China 's Food Safety Management Mechanism

Hunger breeds discontentment and food security is the first. In recent years in China, food safety incidents are frequent exposure. Food safety problem has become one of the most attention and concern for the people. The food industry and government regulators are suffering a hitherto unknown crisis of confidence. Food safety administrative mechanism of China urgently needs to improve.As the food safety supervision department staff, I have8years of work experience. I think I have a deeper understanding on the present situation, problems and causes of the food safety administrative mechanism in china.According to the holistic governance theory proposed by Hicks and starting from comments on the’dyed steamed buns’event, I analyzed the current situation and problems of food safety administrative mechanism of China, combined with my own work feeling, drawled on the experience of practice of food safety management in USA and put forward suggestions in order to improve the food safety administrative mechanism of China. In the aspect of the legal and standard system, we should improve the legal system of food safety law as the center to improve the legal operation and deterrence, and establish the scientific and rigorous food safety standard system. In the aspect of the administrative supervision and management, the government should enhance the honesty and self-discipline consciousness and self administrative level of the enterprises through training and education. The government should strengthen the team building, using scientific methods; improve the ability and level of government departments through the improvement of the supervision system. The government should help people improve the false debate false ability and awareness of food safety knowledge, and should effectively guide the media to accurately report the relevant circumstances through publicity and guidance.
