An Empirical Study On Tourism Employment Effect In Henan Province

Tourism as a leading industry of our national economic development, not onlyplays an important role in promoting economic growth, but also can make full use ofits strong industry relevance, low threshold of employment, job enrichment and laborintensive and other characteristics, to provide a large number of jobs for the country,plays an important role in solving the problem of insufficient supply of theemployment opportunities, and gradually becomes a force of surplus labor of ourcountry absorbing device.Henan Province as China’s most populous province, has rich labor resources. Butthe contradiction of labor supply and demand, and structural contradiction isparticularly prominent, the employment situation is grim. Therefore, the positivedevelopment of providing a lot of jobs to the third industry, has become the focus ofeconomic development and industrial structure adjustment of Henan province at thepresent stage. Henan province has rich tourism resources, developing tourism can begood for the community to promote the Henan Province industrial structureoptimization. However, at the same time, the defects and shortcomings of the tourismindustry itself also has certain restriction to the tourism employment in Henanprovince. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and research the tourism employmenteffects with scientific attitude.This paper is mainly on the basis of the domestic and foreign research results, toanalyze the tourism employment effect of Henan province, point out the problemsexist in tourism employment of Henan Province during the stage of development, andput forward some countermeasures and suggestions. At first, I clearly defined theconcepts of tourism industry, tourism employment and tourism employment effect,on the basis of the relevant theories, and explained the index evaluation ofemployment effect. Secondly, I analyzed the situation of the tourism of Henanprovince, to find out employment tension advantage of tourism industry in Henanprovince. And then by the study of provincial tourism employment effects of Henan, I evaluated the employment tension advantage of tourism in Henan province fromempirical. By the end of the two aspects of theory and empirical conclusions, Ipointed out some problems of the present development of Henan tourism employment,and put forward some related suggestions.
