Fenghuang County Of Hunan Province Tourism Employment Effect Of Empirical Research

With the establishment of the socialist market economy and the development and transformation of economy gradually, tourism development has become an important part of the Chinese economy. At the same time, our society is facing more and more employment situation and the employment problem, but tourism has become to be country or region’s container to absorb surplus labour, and played an important role in solving the employment problem with its own characteristics like the promote effect, the low threshold, the more jobs and levels, the labour-intensive and so on.The effect of promoting employment from tourism is also reflect the ethnic minority areas in our country’s western region. The western region of China’s ethnic minority owns large and rich natural and human resources in tourism. Tourism industry has developed rapidly, both become an important part of local’s economic and social development, and become an main channel to absorb surplus labor in the process of the upgrade and transformation of industry. Hunan Fenghuang is one of the minority areas in China’s southwestern. It is also an important tourist destination of the midwest. Since the west development strategy put forward later, Fenghuang’s the level of tourism industry has developed relatively mature, and has played an important role in solving local’s unemployment pressure. Therefore, the assessment of tourism industry’s employment effect in our country especially in the minority regions seems more and more important.Currently, the research of tourism employment from many domestic scholars is concentrating in the conception, the characteristics and the function. But the study on the effects of the tourism employment in minority areas and the method on how to promote the employment of ethnic regional may inadequate relatively. This article is on the basis of relevant study, use some indicators on employment from a new viewpoint to study on Fenghuang’s development of tourism employment, and give some support policy and advice on improving the situation of tourism employment. To write this paper will enrich the field of research on tourism employment, and have great practical significance and innovation. This paper can be divided into six parts. The first part is the exordium which introduces the researching meanings, background, content and methods and reviews the study on tourism employment from qualitative and quantitative, and offers the innovations and questions in the paper; Chapter 2 defines the tourism industry’s and tourism employment’s conceptions, elaborates on some employment theory, and reviews the assessment of indicators on the effect of tourism employment. Chapter 3 introduces the natural and human resources in Fenghuang and development of the status quo of tourism industry, points out the beneficial factors on the development of tourism employment of Fenghuang. Chapter 4 completes the empirical study of effect on Fenghuang’s tourism employment from number indicators, flexible indicators and multiplicator indicators. Chapter 5 analyses the data from fields, sum up the features of the tourism employment and the factors of limitation on the development of tourism employment. Chapter 6 is the ending which gives some advices need to be noticed in the development on tourism employment in the future.
