Construction land in urban area is the carrier of urban development, which not only largely reflects the efficiency of a region’s economic development, but also reflects the validity of the city’s land use. As China’s most populated province of Henan, the rational use of land for construction is particularly important.In this paper, I reviewed classic papers on indices selections of economic efficiency of construction land use, on the basis of domestic research achievements, and combining with the specific situation of Henan Province, a set of evaluation system is set. Firstly, use the data envelopment analysis (DEA) of C2R model and BC2 2008-2013 model to measure the efficiency of urban construction land use in Henan province. By putting the elements of the DEA effective redundancy analysis, directions for improvement are provided to cities of fall to reach efficiency of DEA; secondly, combined with Malmquist Index, analysis dynamic changes efficiency uses of construction land of 17 prefecture-level city. The results show that from 2008to 2013, cities of economic efficiency use of urban construction land include Zhengzhou, Xuchang and Sanmenxia. From the view of a pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency decomposition, technological advances largely determine the economic efficiency of construction land use.
