Since 1980 s, the services trade is growing fast and gradually becoming a driving force for world economic growth. With the rapid growth of world services trade, the proportion of China’s services trade has been increasing rapidly. By the end of 2013, the exports volume of China’s services trade rose to the fifth in the world, meanwhile, the imports volume of China’s services trade ranked the second in the world, enabling China to remain one of the largest traders in services. However, since 1992, services trade deficit appeared and expanded like “scissors mouth”, and now becoming the world’s largest services trade deficit country. Under this situation, it is significant to analyze the current status, the international competitiveness of China’s services trade and its influencing factors to narrow the gap between China and developed countries and reduce the services trade deficit. This study includes the following contents: firstly, we define the concept of services industry, services trade and the international competitiveness of services trade and so on; The second chapter is the theoretical foundation, measure index and literature review of international competitiveness of services trade; The third chapter describes the current development of China’s services trade and calculate the international competitiveness of China’s services trade by International market share, TC index and RCA index. Based on Michael porter’s "diamond model", chapter 4 conduct the analysis of influencing factors’ impact on the international competitiveness of China’s services trade, including theoretical and empirical study; Finally, we put forward a series of important policy suggestions.Based on the analysis of data from 1986 to 2013, we reach the conclusion that: OPEN make the greatest contribution to the improvement of the international competitiveness of China’s services trade, besides, HC, PGDP, MT and FDI have the co-integration relation with the improvement of the international competitiveness of China’s services trade. Thus, in order to improve the international competitiveness of China’s services trade, we should reduce the monopoly of services industry, cultivate more talents, coordinate the development of services trade and goods trade, increase the domestic consumption of services industry and make full use of services FDI.
