The activities of Product marketing are vital for a firm’s development. However,different products use different marketing methods. Voltage Transformers are notcommon goods. They are industrial products that are used by specialists and specificcustomers. So the marketing method and strategy are worth studying, especially in thepresent worldwide financial crisis, the transformer industry has been undergoing greatchanges both at home and overseas markets.Born out of a state-owned company, Lute Electric Company is now a privatecompany. Its marketing strategy is different from big-size state-owned firms andaverage private companies. But they do have something in common. The article isfocused on Lute Electric. It first analyses the domestic transformer industryenvironment, using PEST and SWOT analysis. Based on the present marketdistribution, the article studies its product positioning and market subdivision strategy,and put forward the idea of the “network tailor system”. At the end the article suggestssome measures to implement the marketing strategy. The conclusion is drawn fromthe study of Lute Electric, and is helpful to the marketing of its products in the homemarket. It can also provide useful reference to other transformer makers in thedomestic and international marketing strategy.
