With the continuous progress of administrative reform, it is imperative for modern administrative leaders to improve leadership skills and to enhance leadership for promoting the modernization of national governance systems and governance. It is one choice to apply coaching to administrative leadership skills in order to help leaders to enhance their leadership.As a theory in management, coaching was introduced from sports. It is different from mentor, consulting, training, counseling and employee assistance program.The core of coaching is to strengthen the strength of will, to integrate attention with willingness and to inspire potential. The application of coaching can be summarized with the comprehensive analysis of theories of psychology, adult learning as well as organizational behavior. On the one hand, leaders should improve abilities of listening, asking questions, distinction, responding and counseling. On the other hand, leaders should know that coaching is phased and interactive. The process of coaching application includes helping coaches to get a clear direction, a clear understanding of themselves and inspire potential.Applying coaching to administrative leadership skills is necessary because it is useful for improving relations within the organization, enhancing cohesion, stimulating subordinates’potential, enhancing organizational effectiveness, highlighting leaders’ influence and improving leadership. Its feasibility lies in consistency of idea of modern leadership and coaching,consistency of role of modern administrative leader and coach, and that we can get reference from applying coaching to corporate management.Applying coaching to administrative leadership skills, primarily to appointment skills, including communication, authorization and encouraging Communication with using coaching is one to one, panoramic, meaningful and constant. It is fit for small scale organizations, among which members are familiar with each other and leaders have a good command of appointment.Reasonable structure, system about regular communication and mutual trust are guarantee When making application of coaching to authorization, what is the most important for administrative leaders is to train subordinates to possess the desired capabilities beyond daily work, which are universal and use diversity management methods. It is suitable for organizations in which leaders value personal growth.Administrative leaders being in the character of coaches, constructing a suitable diversified management model and support from members are guarantee. When applying coaching to encouraging, subordinates should be considered into making organizational strategy. Leaders should replace feedback with feed forward, strengthen sense of achievement and help establish solid confidence. It is suitable for organizations with less leadership hierarchy and without fixed paradigm to follow to accomplish task. Reasonable level of resolution and organization consciousness of appreciation and recognition as well as concept of feed forward are guarantee. To promote the innovation of leadership, leaders should establish desire to be surpassed rather than being required; focus on subordinates’ strengths rather than weaknesses; observe subordinates by what they can do rather than what they have done; dedicate to being appreciative inquiry coach.
