Research On Competitiveness Of Logistics Industry Cluster In Shaanxi Province

Modern logistics industry as a basic industry in the national economy, the logistics industry is becoming more and more important, especially in the face of international trade volume increasing year by year. It has penetrated into all walks of life from producing to selling, and it becomes an indispensable part of companies’ production and management. Logistics industry undertakes the transportation and circulation of products. It provides services for companies to transfer raw materials and products. Nowadays, logistics industry cluster has caused the government and scholars’ extensive concern. The degree of a regional logistics industry development largely reflects the region’s economic development level, so it has become a comprehensive index to measure the competitiveness. In summary, the logistics industry will gradually become one of the mainstay industries of China’s economic development.The industrial cluster is a way of development to make the companies which are closely related get together. As this way, the industry cluster can be the developing mode of integration. This new form of industrial organization makes great contributions to the development of industrial and regional economy. It also can strengthen the regional industrial competitive. As the gateway to the west and the origin of the Silk Road, Shaanxi province has advantaged conditions to develop logistics industry. And being a good development in the equipment manufacturing industry and agriculture, Shaanxi’s economy development has strong dependence in logistics industry. The logistics industry cluster development of Shaanxi Province has a good scale and effect. In order to develop the logistics industry cluster better, we should study of logistics industry clusters in Shaanxi province competitiveness.President Xi Jinping he raised the initiative of jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road in 2013. Then in March 8 2015, the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Commerce jointly issued the " Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" which is outlines the course of development about the Belt and Road. As origin of Silk Road and hub city of Eurasian continental bridge, Shaanxi will face more opportunities and challenges. It also will create a broad market prospect for development of Shaanxi logistics industrial cluster.Based on the above reasons, this paper studies the present situation and competitiveness of the logistics industry clusters in Shaanxi province. Firstly, relating knowledge of modern logistics, regional economics, and industrial economics, the paper analyses the development conditions of Shaanxi logistics industry. Get the result of Shaanxi has good conditions to develop the logistics industry cluster. Secondly, this paper makes a contrastive analysis of the diamond model and GEM model. Combining with the characteristics of logistics industry itself, the paper concludes the competitive rating of logistics industry cluster model which is from the government policy, market environment, the development of the industry, supporting industries and public resources five aspects to analyze.
