| As a research hotspot in recent years, the development of urban tourism has gradually become the important power of the urban development itself. Urban tourism development has injected vitality for the entire city, and bring important benefits to the city’s economy, social culture and the development of ecological environment. At the same time, it makes tourists, community residents, employees and other stakeholders get benefit. Urban tourism development level, is not only determined by development of itself. Tourism development is regarded as a complex system, made up by multiple factors. The relationship between tourism demand and supply is complexed. Measuring urban tourism development not only needs understand the inbound tourism flow system and urban tourism supply fully, but also understands the coupling coordination between inbound tourism flow and urban tourism supply system and its structural coupling. Combing the relationship between inbound tourism flow and urban tourism supply is the foundation of the whole tourism industry and the premise of the healthy and sustainable development. Therefore, how to clarify the internal composition of tourist flows and tourism supply and how to assess development conditions of tourism flow system and the urban tourism supply system and coupling coordination between them are concerned multiple propositions of the government, industry and academia.Based on the national natural fund project "the tourist flows and destination coupling:factor, model and the mechanism study of inbound tourism in six major cities" (NO.41271158) and In the domestic and foreign review of related research of tourism flow system, the urban tourism, the tourism system and coupling coordination, the paper builds coupling model in the instruction of complex system theory, the coupling theory, synergy theory and sustainable development theory. As inbound tourism in six major cities in our country an example, according to "China tourism statistics yearbook and the urban statistical yearbook statistical investigation data,and using the efficacy function, coupling function, coupling coordination degree model and coefficient of variation, the article firstly analylizes comprehensive development level of six major cities’inbound tourism flow, each subsystem three dimension tourism supply system; Then on this basis, the overall coupling coordination level and structure of the coupling between the two coordinated development of the six major cities was evaluated; Finally, the coupling coordination relationship between tourism flows and the three dimensions of tourism supply system is comparatively studied.Articles respectively from the inbound tourism flow system in six major cities and urban comprehensive development level of tourism supply system temporal change and the coupling coordination between the two aspects of the following conclusions:(1) The temporal change of inbound tourism flow and the development level of tourism supply system of the six big cities.First, in the eastern part of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, the disparity of comprehensive development level of inbound tourism and tourism supply system between each subsystem is not obvious, and competition between the systems is fierce; On the contrary, cities of xi’an, Chengdu, Kunming in the west have a more obvious comprehensive development level of disparity in tourism supply and inbound tourism flows system, and not enough competitive,level is more distinct. Second, inbound tourism flows and traffic system is influenced by the special events, such as "SARS", the financial crisis, etc.) is relatively obvious, but the urban basic support system and destination system correspondingly have a stable performance. Third, the better the traffic system performance, the better recovery of inbound tourism flows system after crisis; the worse the development level of transportation system is,the slower restore of inbound tourism flows system after crisis incident, even comes to restore hysteresis. Fourth, the comprehensive development level of each system in eastern cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou) is superior to the western cities (xian, Chengdu, Kunming).(2) The part of the inbound tourism flows in six major cities and tourist supply system coupling coordination and comparison.Firstly, coupling coordination level in 2003-2012 between the six cities inbound tourism flows and three dimension tourism supply system annual average achieved steady rise, but overall coupling coordination level of the inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system is low. Secondly, east and west cities’ overall coupling coordination development level and stability of inbound tourism flows and tourist supply system were lower than the internal coupling coordination level between tourism flows and subsystems. Thirdly, the urban structure coupling coordination gap of the eastern cities’ inbound tourism flows and three dimensions of tourism supply system is smaller, and the competition is intense. But disparity with the overall coordination between inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system is obvious. In the western cities the gap between structure coupling coordination level and the overall coupling coordination level is smaller. Fourthly, the overall coupling coordination level and structure coupling are basically consistent, namely the eastern western (Beijing, Shanghai, guangzhou)>(chengdu, xian, kunming). Fifthly, although the gap of coupling coordination level of inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system between the western cities and the eastern cities is obvious, but part structure coupling coefficient of variation of the western cities is more than the eastern cities.The innovation of this study lies in:(1) The paper puts forward the three dimensional tourism supply system——the traffic system,the tourism attraction and service system,city based support system.The article on the basis of existing research and through the multiple system, dual system way of research, paper analyzes coupling coordination and structure coupling level between inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system, reveals the associate, interaction and impact between inbound tourism flows tourism supply system, and so provides theoretical basis for the practice of tourism development.(2)The paper discusses the development level of the inbound tourism flows and tourism supply,and makes the study of the both system be with more depth. The six major cities in the east and west as the study area,to study the comprehensive development level of inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system of each subsystem in 2003-2012,have time series analysis about the inbound tourism flows and coupling coordination between tourism supply system,and from the perspective of space, comparatively studies the coordinated development between inbound tourism flows and tourism supply system,and summarizes its law of development. From the dimension of time and space the research has certain theoretical significance and practical significance.(3) The previous coupling evaluation model is improved. Previous coupling evaluation model is divided into three parts, namely system comprehensive development level of evaluation, evaluation of coupling and coupling coordination degree evaluation. This research mainly improves the comprehensive development level, and in time and space dimensions calculates and averagely processes the system comprehensive development level. The paper not only makes the system comprehensive development level accur a certain rule in the time dimension, also embodies the differences of the level of urban tourism development and become the reference for later research method. |
