Research On Government Supervision Of Taxi Industry In Lijiang City

Taxi represents the image of a city. The events that are caused by taxi industry not only affect the normal operation of urban traffic, but also test the public’s patience and confidence on government regulation. The problem that how to play a good role in supervision function of taxi industry has become one of the important subjects that improve government’s public service.According to current situation of government regulation in Lijiang taxi industry, combining with the treatment situation of Lijiang Government dealing with strikes and the survey to service quality of taxi industry, this thesis analyses the current problems that exist in taxi industry, and put forward some countermeasures and suggestions aiming at government regulation of Lijiang taxi industry. This thesis is intended to explore a practical developing road of Lijiang’s taxi industry, providing some reference suggestions for improving the level of government regulation and optimizing public service system.The thesis is divided into the following sections:The first part: Introduction, mainly elaborates reasons and significances of subject, related researches in home and overseas, research thoughts and methods, leading to research theories.The second part: description to current situation of government regulation in Lijiang taxi industry includes four aspects: historical evolution of Lijiang taxi industry, government supervision organizations of Lijiang taxi industry, and government supervision ways of Lijiang, rectification and reform in the operation of policies of Lijiang taxi industry.The third part: this part analyzes problems existing in government regulation of Lijiang taxi industry from supervision ways, supervision organizations and operation programs three aspects.The forth part: this part puts forward some related suggestions and strategies of government regulation in Lijiang taxi industry from improving supervision ways, establishing coordination mechanism among supervision departments, specifying supervision program three aspects.The fifth part: conclusion. Based on concluding the whole thesis, it proposes that Lijiang Government should establish effective supervision institutions, explore developing road of Lijiang taxi industry, and promote healthy development and social stability of taxi industry combining with the characteristics of Lijiang taxi industry.Before this thesis, there is no systemically academic research on Lijiang taxi industry and Lijiang government regulation. Thus, field researches of this thesis are more realistic and practical.
