The global economy growth remains in a slow recovery. Chinese economy development faced with the "Three-period Superimposed" challenge. the economy has moving from high-speed growth into the "new normal" of medium and lower speed growth. The Chinese city commercial banks have outstanding achievement by 20 years, but also face with many development problems. Some city commercial banks’credit risk break out vastly, the rate of non-performing loans increased greatly. The city commercial banks’profit growth become to weaken which be affected by Interest Rate Liberalization, Internet Finance and so on. Lack of researching development strategy, adopting the similar service way, Non-clearing market position, no difference in competition, which affect the banks stabilization.This paper summarize several different city banks’development strategy style Through comparing with different domestic and foreign research literature about small and medium-sized banks’development strategy. Take GXBBW bank as example. Begin with, based on the analysis of GXBBW bank operation and internal environment, find the bank’s strengths and weaknesses. Second, combined with the analysis of the external environment and the potter’s "Five Forces Competition Model", clear the bank’s opportunities and threats. Through analysis of SWOT Model, GXBBW bank should operate in Guangxi province, depend on the community and small-tiny enterprises, and then strengthen its retail. As the above analysis, the GXBBW bank should adopt growth strategy, especially emphasize to develop the Community Bank, Electron Bank and Land capital market, choice "small and specialties, small and delicacy, small and strength" competition strategy. In this paper, the study can provide some reference for the similar city commercial banks to make their development strategy, has some theoretical significance and practical significance.
