The Research On The Development Of Cross-Border RMB Business Of A Bank Suzhou Branch

In the process of internationalization of RMB, the commercial banks as the forefront of cross-border RMB business and important participants in this process has played a crucial role.Since thecross-border RMB business has developed for more than 5 years, A Bank Suzhou Branch discovered cross-border RMB customersaccording to their own advantage, has developed and promoted a variety of cross-border RMB products. The business has made great progress whether in quantity or type and the overall development situation is good, development potential is huge. However, the business is also facing many problems in the development process, the proportion of the total amount of international settlement in the bank is not high and the proportion of the local market share of the four state-owned banks is low.This paper analyzes the current situation of development of cross-border RMB business in A bank Suzhou branch, summarizes the problems and causes of the presence, then research on the possible countermeasures, on the basis of that, this paper seeks the operational countermeasuresto solve the problem faced by the business. Through the implementation of thecountermeasures, the development direction and the method of A Bank Suzhou Branch’s cross-border RMB business will be more clear, so that the business will eventually achieve healthy and rapid development, while by combining advantages of local and foreign currency business, domestic and foreign branches effective linkage, the bank will build the core competitiveness, contribute to achieve the internationalization of business development by leaps and bounds.
