Struggling for survival since the colonization of Angola by Portugal, Indigenous Peoples(IPs) are the ones more affect ed by extreme poverty in the country, living with less than a dollar per day, pushing them to the shore of extinction.From time to time the Government has been renewing its House and Land Policies for better provision of shelter to the population but see ms like the degree of satisfaction has affected negatively the Indigenous Peoples. Most Indigenous communities still live in very bad conditions, with an enormous lack of affordable housing, health, food and education. T his study is focusing in one of the most unfavorable Indigenous Peoples, the Mú-twas(also known as Himbas), an indigenous group from Curoca township in Angola.The availability of an adequate range of housing contributes to a community‘s ability to function in efficient, equitable, prosperous and sustainable ways. However, the Angolan Government`s Nacional Housing Programs implemented throughout the years seems not to meet the criteria of most Indigenous Peoples, consequently, no feedback has been registered since the projects have been launched on those communities. As a result, innumerous houses built for the Indigenous Peoples are abandoned or were never occupied.It is in this sense that the reporting is geared to, government and nongovernmental organization(NGO) personnel policy make rs to engage Indigenous Peoples more effectively in national housing projects and programs to fight extreme poverty and consequent extinction.The main contents of this study are divided into four Chapters: Chapter 1 introduces the objective and signifi cance of the study, literature review,and the research methods and main contents; Chapter 2 reviews the Land Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Housing Policies both from national perspectives and analyzing International experiences towards Indigenous Peoples territory and natural resources, provides an analytical framework for the impacts of housing policies on IPs; Chapter 3 describes all process that took place during the Case Study. It makes reference to the municipality profile, habits and costumes of Himbas, Data Collection process.
