China’s farmland property institution reform has been under the guide of Marxist theory of land property rights, but with the rapid development of productivity, current farmland property institution is increasingly revealing some shortcomings,which has become barriers to the reform of rural economy. Therefore, in the new era, how to innovate the application of Marxist theory of land property rights, to guide a new round of property rights reform, that is the new historical mission of Marxist theory of land property rights.Marxist theory of land property rights is a systematic scientific theory, and it is also the theoretical basis for guiding the reform of agricultural land property rights system in China. Marxist though not explicitly put forward the "landrights" category, but in "Das Kapital", "Theory of surplus value" and other classics, the connotation and extension of land property rights made many brilliant expositions.
