The Research On The Relationships Between Resource Dependence And Income Equality Growth

Natural resources are important factors for economic development. However, some economic and social phenomena indicate that the resource dependence will exist in abundant resource areas, and excessive resource dependence can give rise to a series of economic issues, including economic stagnation, low productivity, income polarization and other issues of economic efficiency and equality which are called “resource curse”. From the view of institutional quality, this paper study the influences of resource dependence on fair growth. The institutional effects of resource dependence are theoretically analyzed and from the perspective of institutional quality the formation mechanism and expected expression patterns of income level effect, income growth effect and income distribution effect of resource dependence are analyzed and graphically presented. The province data from 2000 to 2014 are studied positively, intending to solve the following two problems.First, the mediation effect model consequences show that a total of 10 kinds of pathways perform significantly. The results also show that government intervention, external openness, marketization level and industrial property rights preserve can be used as the mediation variables of resource dependence to income level. Government corruption, openness, marketization level and investment freedom are the mediating variables of resource dependent to income growth. Worker guarantee and economic benefit distribution are the mediation variables of resource dependence to income distribution.Second, the panel threshold model consequences show the following conclusions. When the value of government intervention is lower than 0.107, the resource dependence will be not helpful to improvement of the income level. For the marketization and openness, only when its value reaches a second threshold value can it change the resource curse effect on income level. And when it is greater than the threshold value, it can effectively weaken the effect of the resource curse on income growth. When the government corruption value is greater than 0.169, it will strengthen curse effect. When workers security value is greater than 0.96, it can weaken the resource curse effect of income distribution. When the economic benefit distribution value is greater than the value of 0.84, it can turn the income distribution curse effect into the blessing.
