Corn production has become China’s first major grain crops variety over rice in2012. Asthe world’s second largest country of producer and consumer of corn after the U.S., however,the mechanization level of corn harvest in China was only40percent in2012, and there is a biggap compared with foreign countries. At the same time, there is also a lack of systematictheoretical research on key components. Strengthened theoretical study on corn harvester,especially on the key components of the snapping device and stalk cutting devices hasimportant significance to improve the mechanization level of corn harvest in China.In the article an all-electric4WD multifunctional corn harvest test bench is designed onthe basis of investigation of corn harvest mechanization mode do mestic and abroad as well asthe maize harvester’s structure, the technical parameters and other factors of the majorcomponents. The design and analysis of key components of the all-electric4WDmultifunctional corn harvest test bench components is focused. An all-electric4WD test car isfirst designed, and the driving device, control, sensor, detecting and guiding device, chassis andso on are selected.3D models and assembly of the main working parts are set up by usingUGNX8.0software. The stalk pulling roller is optimized and improved. Through analyzing theforce of spike and stalk, the speed of pulling roller and reel chain as well as the motion of earand stalk while harvesting the separated conditions of spike from stalk and the stem’spulled-off the speed relationship between pulling roller and reel chain, as well as theinfluencing factors of power consumption while snapping are concluded. Through analyzingdifferent ways of cut stalks the reciprocating cutter is selected, and the cutter position adjustingdevice and the transmission system are designed in order to realize the cutter back and forthmoving. The variable law of displacement, velocity, acceleration, etc. is concluded byanalyzing the motion of pendulum ring device. The stem clamped and feeding device isoptimized to achieve continuous feeding and the adjustment of row spacing. Used thesimulation modules of Solidworks software the drive shaft, the key components of thesuspension frame are analyzed by finite element analysis and the rationality of the design isverified.The all-electric4WD multifunctional corn harvest test bench can simulate the workingconditions of corn harvester under different operating parameters, which can providetheoretical basis and experimental data for the design of key parts of corn harvester and haveimportant significance to improve the theory research of corn harvester. At the same time, itcan improve theteaching levelby providingtest equipment forteaching and scientificresearch.
