This topic originated from the sub-topic of "The Yellow River delta cotton production of agricultural machinery and agronomy integrated key technology research and demonstration" in the "Twelfth Five Year" rural areas supported program".The stubble work quality and efficiency of cotton planter, affected cotton quality and economic benefits, it also determines realization of the wheat cotton rotation, so the development of high quality, high efficiency of cotton planter is an urgent requirement to realize the wheat cotton rotation in Huang-Huai-Hai region. The level of Xinjiang’s cotton sowing mechanization is high, but those planters can only work in the tillage land, but not in the wheat stubble field. At the same time, low germination rate, germination time inconsistency is caused by the inconsistent of sowing depth. The purpose of this paper is to design a cotton planter with Straw returning device and a single profiling mechanism--2BMM-3no tillage and stubble chopping precision of cotton seeder. Straw returning, fertilization, sowing and soil covering operation can be done at one time, greatly reducing the working hours of cotton sowing, it makes the rotation and ensures the consistency of sowing depth.This study was designed to drill from the following aspects:(1)By the using of ANSYS the scimitar straw returning device was fount out to be the most suitable Structure for wheat stubble crushing and returning in the straight knife type, hammer claw type and the scimitar straw returning device. It’s picking up the effect is good, and it’s bending part edge could enhance the straw shear, the power consumption is moderate, the operation effect is good.(2)A fertilizer box shape was determined by seed and fertilizer material characteristics, the seed fertilizer box capacity was determined by number, with those two aspects above seed box and fertilizer box were designed.(3)Combined with the actual operation conditions of stubble, comparing the ground adaptability and copying sensitive degree between single articulated profile and parallel four rod profiling mechanism, we found out that the parallel four rod profiling mechanism adopts the planter well, and the determination of main parameters for the parallel four bar mechanism was done combined with copying content and surface condition.(4)The sowing depth test on parallel four connecting rod profiling mechanism were done.2BMM-3no tillage and stubble chopping precision cotton planter is easy used, reliable metering, low leakage sowing rate; parallel four bar mechanism has good profile modeling effect, sowing depth has high consistency; it greatly saves farming without the need for the stubble land of tillage. This provides machinery seeder guarantee for the realization of the Huang-Huai-Hai region of wheat cotton rotation.
