As the global water resources decreased rapidly, how to use the water resourcesreasonably and how to allocate the agricultural irrigation water well and other issueshas become a top priority. Jilin province as a big agriculture province in our country, avariety of crops, especially with maize yield most, large agricultural water demand,the irrigation water demand accounts for the vast proportion.This paper refered to a large number of literature data and collected the soil,climate and other natural conditions and the status quo of agricultural production ofmaize. Also counted19weather stations in1960-2012of meteorological data, use theCropwat8.0related software, and calculate the maize irrigation water requirement, useKriging interpolation method for spatial analysis maize irrigation water requirementof time and space distribution rule of Jilin province. Using the M-K inspection,wavelet analysis and other methods to analyze maize irrigation water demandrespectively, cyclical of Jilin province.The results show that maize irrigation requirement year’s change and thegrowing season change reflect significantly. Fluctuations are the two largest and mostirrigation requirement are1960years and the1970s, but little change since the70sand70s ups and downs, overall a downward trend, and humid climate change trend,more precipitation. From the point of the growing season, irrigation waterrequirement, at least in May account for only7%of the whole growing season,28%inJune, July accounted for28%,18%in August,18%in september. The spatialdistribution of Maize irrigation requirement shows that "less east more west, lesssouth more north, increasing from the southeast to the northwest" characteristics.Maize irrigation water requirement to present certain periodicity, the large scaletransformation in15-30a, between a small scale transform is the most significantoscillation around4a, followed by8a.Combined with the spatial and temporal variations of jilin maize irrigation waterrequirement rule, puts forward the countermeasures for optimizing the allocation ofwater resources. We should adjust measures to local conditions, irrigation as needed,for irrigation. Due consideration of soil water utilization value, to reform the systemof water resources management and relevant irrigation efficiency, improvingirrigation methods, choose appropriate irrigation technology can promote the reasonable effective use of water resources. In addition, the increasing price of water,can avoid the occurrence of "waste irrigation" phenomenon, to ensure the sustainableutilization of water resources and developing further.
