Evaluation Of Dwarf, Drought Resistance And Grafting Affinity Of Several Varieties Of Citrus Seedlings

Using Ronganjingan, Ronganhuapijingan, Jinzao, Changshoujingan, Shanjingan, Citrus aurtantium, Ruanzhisuanju, and Lemon seedlings as test materirals, to evaluate the dwarf, the drought resistance, and the graft affinity between scion of Sugar orange and stock of the test materirals, then make a comparative evaluation of exellent performance and potential on rootstock of8varieties of citrus seedlings, which provide reference about species breeding on rootstock of Citrus. The results shows that:(1) With the help of those dwarf related indexes such as height, POD, total phenolic and palisade/spongy, the citrus seedlings are better classified into dwarf rootstock, semi-dwarf rootstock and vigorous rootstock by cluster analysis. Among them, Lemon, Ronganhuapijingan, Shanjingan and Citrus aurtantium are dwarf rootstock; Changshoujingan, Ronganjingan and Jinzao are semi-dwarf rootstock; Ruanzhisuanju is vigorous rootstock.(2) Comprehensively analyse the drought resistance value of varieties by the method of membership functions and the sequence of drought resistance is:Changshoujingan> Citrus aurtantium> Ronganhuapijingan> Jinzao>Ronganjingan> Shanjingan> Lemon> Ruanzhisuanju; the drought type is that Changshoujingan, Citrus aurtantium, Ronganjingan, Ronganhuapijingan, Jinzao and Shanjingan are middle level, Lemon and Ruanzhisuanju are low level.(3) Comprehensively analyse the graft affinity of varieties by the method of membership functions and the sequence of graft affinity is:between the scion of Sugar orange and stock of the test materirals, Ronganhuapijingan and Citrus aurtantium are the high abilities; Changshoujingan and Shanjingan are the middle abilities; Lemon, Jinzao, Ruanzhisuanju and Ronganjingan are the low abilities.(4) Compare the growth status of grafting bud, the physiological index and the difference of mineral elements content, find out that the growth status of Ronganhuapijingan, Citrus aurtantium and Changshoujingan are the best, Shanjingan, Lemon, Konganjingan, Jinzao and Ruanzhisuanju take the second place.(5) In all the test materirals, Ronganhuapijingan is dwarf rootstock, the drought resistance is good, so is the graft affinity and growth status, there’s a great potential to be rootstock; Citrus aurtantium, Changshoujingan, Shanjingan, Lemon, Ronganjingan, Jinzao and Ruanzhisuanju take the second place.
