Assessment Of Stocks' Drought Resistance And Grafting Affinity Of Chinese Chestnut

To choosing excellent rootstock varieties(clones)of Chinese chestnut,the study evaluates the drought resistance of stocks and the graft affinity between stocks and scions.Using 10 Chinese chestnut varieties(clones):'Dabanhong','Zijing','Yanlong','Yankui','Yanshanduanzhi','Yanshanzaofeng','Zipo','Qian xizaohong','Qianxiwanhong','Qianxizhuangli')as test materials,to evaluate the drought resistance by subordinate function and principle component analysis;According to the result of drought resistance,choosing the top five drought resistance varieties(clones)as the stocks,'Yanshanzaofeng','Qianxiwanhong','Qianxizaohong' as scions,then grafting and comparing grafting affinity of different combination by subordinate function and principle component analysis.Synthesize drought resistance and the scion grafting affinity,and then choosing excellent rootstock varieties(clones)of Chinese chestnut.The results show that:1.Comprehensively evaluate the each index under continuing drought stress of 10 Chinese chestnut varieties(clones),the result shows that the drought resistance order of 10 Chinese chestnut varieties(clones)is:'Dabanhong'>'Zijing'>'Yanlong'>'Yankui'>'Yanshanduanzhi'>'Yanshanzaofeng'>'Zipo'>'Qianxi wanhong'>'Qianxizaohong'>'Qianxizhuangli'.2.Comprehensively evaluate the each index of leaves anatomical structure of 10 Chinese chestnut varieties(clones)in Qianxi region,the result shows that the drought resistance order of 10 Chinese chestnutvarieties(clones)is:'Dabanhong'>'Zijing'>'Yanlong'>'Yankui'>'Yanshanduanzhi'>'Yanshanzaofen g'>'Zipo'>'Qianxiwanhong'>'Qianxizaohong'>'Qianxizhuangli'.3.Comprehensively evaluate the graft affinity between different combination.The result shows that,'Yanshanzaofeng' as scion,the order of grafting affinity of different stocks is:'Zijing'>'Yanshanduanzhi'>'Yanlong'>'Yankui'>'Dabanhong;'Qianxiwanhong' as scion,the order of grafting affinity of different stocks is:'Zijing'>'Yanshanduanzhi'>'Yanlong'>'Yankui'>'Dabanhong';'Qianxizaohong' as scion,the order of grafting affinity of different stocks is:'Zijing'>'Yanshanduanzhi'>'Yanlong'>'Yankui'>'Dabanhong'.All the graft affinity of 'Zijing','Yanshanduanzhi','Yanlong' are good4.In all the 10 Chinese chestnut varieties(clones),the drought resistance of 'Zijing','Yanshanduanzhi',and 'Yanlong' are good,and all the graft affinity of them and three scions are good.Thus they can be excellent rootstocks.
