At present in Gansu Province, the potato industry continues to develop, the planting areaand the production of potato are increasing, with which, the degree of mechanization of potatoharvesters has been developed. In view of the need of potato mechanization’s development, ithas developed a potato digger--4UD-600type, suitable for planting mode of Gansuprovince. However, the machine has low efficiency and poor separation result in its separationprocess. Aiming at the separation technical difficulties of this machine, the machine’svibration mechanism was studied through theoretical and virtual prototype simulationanalysis; and based on which optimized the structure and motion parameters ofvibration mechanism.(1)According to the actual structure size of4UD-600type potato digger, theparametric model of vibration mechanism was established in theADAMS software;(2) Three different measurement points were set on the screen surface, and measured andanalyzed the change of acceleration of each point. In addition to this, the acceleration directionangle was set and measured and analyzed;(3) According to the change regulation of acceleration direction angle, analyzed themovement state of vibration mechanism and the law of motion of material in separatingscreen, thus reached the equations of motion of materials moving along the screen surface;(4) The greater affect parameters on mechanism’s screening performance was selectedthrough creating design variables, parametrizeding the model and proceeding Design Study;(5) Under the premise of high screening efficiency, with the highest productivity goal, the mechanism was optimized, and the optimal combination of parameters of mechanism wasgot.
