The purpose of this trial was to study the effects of dietary Riboflavin level on growth performance, serum biochemical indices and antioxidant function of growing Rex rabbits aged 3 to 5 months. One hundred and sixty-3-month-old Rex rabbits with an average were randomly assigned to 4 groups with 40 replicates in each group and each replicate contained 1 rabbit. Rabbits in control group were fed a basal diet, and rabbits in the experimental groups were fed experimental diets containing 0mg/kg、3mg/kg、6mg/kg、12mg/kg Riboflavin. Flowing are results of experiment:The result showed that dietary Riboflavin levels did not have significant influence s on daily intake(ADI), average daily gain(ADG) and feed/gain(F/G)(P>0.05). Ribofl avin of rabbit dietary were not changed PH and b*, but it have effects on L* and dri age in muscle(P<0.05), and had a significant effect on a*and drip loss in rabbit mu scle(P<0.01), fur thickness and wool length(P>0.05), while adding riboflavin had si gnificant effects on fur area and fur weight(P<0.05). Dietary riboflavin affected folli cle density and s/p(P<0.01). Dietary riboflavin had significantly affected on primary follicle and the secondary follicle density. Dietary riboflavin did no affect on the level s of growth hormone、t3、t4 and insulin(P>0.05). Dietary riboflavin had a significa nt effect on the contents of cholesterol(CHO)(P<0.05), however, it did not significan tly affect the contents of serum total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholestorol(HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholestorol(L DL-C)(P>0.05). Thymu and thymus index were affected by dietary riboflavin(P<0.05),while spleen and spleen index were not had effects(P>0.05). The quantity of M cell in sacculus、immunoglobulin G、immunoglobulin A and il-2 were significantly affected by dietary riboflavin levels(P<0.05), but had no effects on immunoglobulin M(P>0.05). Dietary riboflavin level had effects on serum lutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) activity(P=0.0328), and had significantly affects on liver GSH-Px activity. Riboflavin s upplemental level did not significantly affect serum and liver total superoxide dismutas e(T-SOD)、malondialdehyde(MDA) content and liver total antioxidant capability(T-AOC)(P>0.05). Reduced glutathione(GR) and methemoglobin(Met Hb) were affected by rib oflavin level(P<0.05), at the same time, riboflavin level had have significant influen ces on glucose 6-phosphatedehydrogenase(G-6-PD)(P=0.0002), but had no effects on gultathione-S-transferases(GSTs)in liver(P>0.05). Riboflavin level had no influences on gultathione-S-transferases(GSTs)、L-Glutathione(T-GSH)、reduced glutathione(G SH), while it had effects on Reduced glutathione(GR) and oxidized glutathione(GSS G)in liver(P<0.05). Riboflavin level had effects on transcription levels of reduced g lutathione(GR) and short-chainacyl-coadehydrogenasne(SCAD), but had no effects on gultathione-S-transferases(GSTs) transcription level. Considering all indices of this exper iments, 8.35mg/kg was the appropriate riboflavin level.
