The Effort Of Fertilizer And Phytohormone To Feijoa Sellowiana Growth And Cultivar Selection

As a new type of fruit tree which can be used as fruit, view and medicine, Feijoa was introduced to Si Chuan providence. This article solved many problems after the Feijoa came to China such as grew slowly, less flower, less production, less fruit. Because this research was the first research in China, it is very important. This research was mainly about the effort of N, P, K, Fe, B, Zn fertilizer formulations and GA3, 6-BA, SA phytohormone to Feijoa. Meanwhile, search for the plus tree of Feijoa in orchard of Le Shan city. The results were as follows:(1) When the concentration of NH4HCO3, Ca(H2PO4)2, K2SO4 were 0.23, 0.07, 0.07 kg per tree, the increasing of Feijoa’s height were 197%, 145%, 115% higher than CK. When the concentration of those fertilizers were 0.23, 0.13, 0.07 kg per tree, the increasing of canopy breadth were 156%, 121%, 164% higher than CK. When the concentration of those fertilizers were 0.17, 0.13, 0.13 kg per tree, the production were 549%, 922%, 673% higher than CK. When the concentration of those fertilizers were 0.23, 0.20, 0.20 kg per tree, the TSS were 68%, 129%, 137% higher than CK. The effort of those fertilizers to growth was: N>P>K; And for reproductive growth was: P>K>N; And for quantity of fruit was: K>P>N.(2) In N, P, K fertilizer formulation test, the second formulation which was 0.33 kg NH4HCO3, 0.17 kg Ca(H2PO4)2 and 0.17 kg K2SO4 per tree three times a year was the best for Feijoa. Under this formulation, the results were 91%, 121%, 1198%, 176% higher than CK in height, canopy breadth, production and TSS.(3) When the concentration of FeSO4, ZnSO? were 80, 15 g per tree, the increasing of Feijoa’s height were 112%, 157% higher than CK. When the concentration of those fertilizers were 50, 15 g per tree, the increasing of canopy breadth were 135%, 137% higher than CK. Compared to FeSO4, ZnSO?, H3BO3 was not significant with Feijoa’s growth. When the concentration of FeSO4, ZnSO?, H3BO3 was 110, 20, 30 g per tree, the production were 580%, 480%, 408% higher than CK. When the concentration of those fertilizers were 50, 25, 25 g per tree, the TSS were 75%, 86%, 90% higher than CK. The effort of those fertilizers to growth was: Zn>Fe>B; And for reproductive growth was: Fe>B>Zn; And for quantity of fruit was: Zn>B>Fe. We recommended that gave Feijoa FeSO4, H3BO3, ZnSO?: 110, 15, 20 g per tree three times a year when it in growth time, and 80, 30, 30 g per tree three times a year when it in reproductive growth time.(4) GA3, SA were not significant with growth, but 6-BA was positive correlation with branch growth. When its concentration was 200 ppm per tree, branch growth was 257% higher than CK. When the concentration of GA3, 6-BA was 200, 100 ppm per tree, the production were 931%, 852% higher than CK. Meanwhile, the SA were not significant with production. Only 6-BA(200 ppm per tree) was positive correlation with TSS, and 32% higher than CK. We recommended that gave Feijoa GA3, 6-BA, SA: 100, 100, 400 g per tree three times a year.(5) According to the rules of big fruit and more production, 5 Feijoa trees(Number: A19-2, A23-1, C18-11, D7-1, D7-2) were selected in 827 Feijoa trees. Those Feijoa all have high fruit quantity.
