In order to select the suitable winter potato varieties for Guangdong Province and to fast monitor potato disease, different varieties potato from the domestic main potato planting area were introduced for the screening test experiments from 2011 to 2013, respectively. And the CGMD302 spectrometer was used for disease degree monitoring. The results show that: high yield varieties had poor eating quality; Feiwuruite yield was the highest, while the Daxiyang and Longshu 8 had the best eating quality; there was a negative correlation between NDVI and disease degree, while a positive correlation between RVI and disease degree. The prediction accuracy was above 0.9, the root mean square error was less than 10% and the average relative error was less than 10%. The findings may provide the technical basis for the rapid monitoring of potato disease degree.
