This experiment was conducted to study the application of Chrysanthemum meal in laying hens diet through assessing nutritional value of Chrysanthemum meal. The ultimately purpose is to determine the appropriate dosage in laying hens diet of Chrysanthemum meal.Part one: Nutritional value evaluation of Chrysanthemum meal.Through the nutrient analysis of Chrysanthemum meal, the regular nutrient content of which was: DM 93.67%,CP 10.80%, EE 1.79%,CF 28.69%, ash 8.27%, Ca 0.86%,P 0.28%. Amino acid content:Val 0.62%、Thr 0.47%、Phe 0.54%、Met 0.18%、Lys 0.59%、Leu 0.84%.Select 16 Hy-line rooster 1.5kg of weight, which were divided into 4 groups, each group had 4 repeats. Twice metabolic test was based on sets of algorithms to calculate the nutrient utilization and metabolism rate of Chrysanthemum meal. The metabolism rate of DM, CP, Ca was 45.40%、37.72%、23.57%,and metabolizable energy of Chrysanthemum meal was 13.25 MJ/Kg.Part two: Application of Chrysanthemum meal in Laying Hens Diet192 Hy-line laying hens 450 days of age after the forced molting were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 4 replications per group and 12 hens per replications. The control group(groupⅠ) was fed with basal diets, and the testing group was fed with basic diets with date powder replacement respectively 1%, 2%, 3% in laying hens diet. Pretest period was 7 days and experimental period was 50 days. The experiment of study the effect of Chrysanthemum meal on performance of laying hens and egg quality to furtherly determine the feasibility of Chrysanthemum meal in laying hens diet and the appropriate application dosage. Results indicated:① Under the conditions of this experiment, laying hens diets supplemented with an appropriate amount of Chrysanthemum meal had no significant effect on the average egg, average egg weight, day-egg yields, broken(soft) eggshell rate and death rate(P>0.05); Compared with the control group, groupⅡ~Ⅳreduced ratio of feed to egg by 2.61%(P>0.05), 3.06%(P<0.05), 2.16%(P>0.05); group Ⅱ, Ⅳincreased egg production rate by 0.16%(P>0.05),1.77%(P>0.05), and group Ⅲreduced laying rate by 0.64%(P>0.05).② Under the conditions of this experiment, laying hens diets supplemented with an appropriate amount of Chrysanthemum meal had no significant influence on egg weight,egg-shaped indes and Hartz ect.of General egg quality(P > 0.05), and whicn had lighted up the egg yolk and significantly reduced the cholesterol content in egg yolk. Group Ⅱ~Ⅳwas lower than the control group of cholesterol content in egg yolk respectively 5.66%(P>0.05)、11.35%(P<0.05)、10.06%(P<0.05).③ Laying hens diet supplemented with Chrysanthemum meal had no adverse effect on the apparent digestibility layers.④ Chrysanthemum meal in diet had no significant effect in serum of layers in content of GLU 、TP 、ALB 、GLB(P>0.05); The TC,TG contents in serum were reduced, but there were no significant effect(P>0.05); Compared with the control group, the LDL-C、 HDL-C and T-SOD had no significant effect(P>0.05); the content of MDA in serum were significantly reduced(P<0.05), group Ⅳcompared with the control group had significant differences(P<0.05); the T-AOC was significantly improved(P<0.05),and there were significant difference between group Ⅲ~Ⅳ with control group(P<0.05); the GSH-Px activity were improved, group Ⅳ GSH-Px activity was very significantly different from control group(P<0.05);⑤ Laying hens diets supplemented with an appropriate amount of chrysanthemum meal could improve economic efficiency, group Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳhad respectively gained 21.72、50.59,70.60 yuan more than the control group.Considering the above aspects, the Chrysanthemum meal could apply in laying hens diet. When Chrysanthemum meal was 3%, which has the best result.
