Canine mammary tumors, as the most common cancer in dogs, are malignant proliferation of cells in normal breast tissue that occur under long-term stimulation of various carcinogenic factors, also with the formation of a substantial mass. With the developing of the economic, people’s living standards is improving, so is the amount of pet dog, people pay more attention to their dogs’ healthy. Meanwhile the incidence of mammary tumors in dogs are skyrocketing, which pose a serious threat to the life and health of pet dogs, to the dog owner’s life and psychological significant impact as well. In this study, 40 cases of mammary tumor dogs were collected in Baoding. Through the relevant factors, clinical examination, X-ray examination, histological observation of pathology and the screening of three treatment programs of dogs with mammary tumors, so as to provide references for clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mammary tumors of dogs in Baoding. The results showed that there was a close link between the canine mammary tumors with region, breed, age, reproduction, disaes history, environment and the diet around Baoding. In clinic, malignant mammary tumors accounted for 75.0%(30/40) and benign mammary tumors possessed for 25.0%(10/40). Canine mammary tumors mainly contain malignant myoepithelial cell tumor(15.0%), medullary carcinoma(12.5.0%), malignant mixed tumors(20.0%), tubular adenocarcinoma(27.5%), fibroadenoma(7.5%) and benign mixed tumor(17.5%). The mammary tumors mainly appeared in the dogs over 7 years old and ware the 75.0% of the total number of cases. The dogs without birth had the highest incidence. German Shepherd and Beijing ware vulnerable to mammary tumors with the incidence of 20.0%(8/40) and 17.5%(7/40). German Shepherd dog and Pekingeses without birth had the highest incidence. Benign mammary disease, pyometra, false pregnancy and miscarriage can promote the mammary tumorigenesis. In the daily feeding, dogs whose diet to meat-based had a higher prevalence and the dogs living in cities prone to the disease. Canine mammary tumors occur mainly in the breast tissue of caudal abdomen, a higher incidence of the left single mammary area. The typical clinical symptoms of pets with canine mammary tumors have one or more of canine mammary subcutaneous solid mass, the mass was with "cauliflower" shape and prominent in vitro, tumor vessels was clear, diet and weight loss. Ultrasound tomography and X-ray diagnostic mammography can find the hidden metastases and identify tumor and non-tumor disease quickly. Histological observation of pathology is the important method for characterization and classification for canine mammary tumors. Clinical cases in Baoding of canine mammary tumors are mainly malignancy, tubular adenocarcinoma benign malignant multiple, and benign multiple benign mixed tumor. By surgery alone, chemotherapy after surgery and medicine treatment after surgery thses three treatment regimens, the results showed that the dogs accepted chemotherapy after surgery had higher survival rate after 6 months, and this treatment can be widely used in the veterinary clinic. Conclusion: The malignant mammary tumors accounted for the most of dogs with canine mammary tumors and the tubular adenocarcinoma was the most common type in Baoding Region. German Shepherd dogs and Pekingeses over 7 year old have the highest incidence of the Canine mammary tumors in Baoding Region. Benign breast disease, pyometra, false pregnancy and miscarriage and meat-based diets are the risk factors of the disease. Canine mammary tumor occurs mainly in the caudal abdomen of mammary tissue, a higher incidence of the single mammary area of the left. Pathological observation is the fundamental method of breast tumors eventually characterization and classification. Chemical adjuvant therapy after surgical resection adjuvant therapy of traditional Chinese medicine can effectively improve the survival rate, and chemical adjuvant therapy works best.
