Mammary tumor is one of common tumours in canine, and seriously endanger to the dog health because of high morbidity and mortality. In recent years, prevention and treatment programs for canine mammary tumors constantly improved and perfected, but the cure rate didn,t significantly improved with the reason, due to the disease is in middle and late process when clinical treatment, so it is of great significance that the early diagnosis of the disease treatment whether or not improve. The occurrence of mammary tumor in canine provides a certain reference value to the research of human breast tumors for canine as humans companion animals; the canine mammary tumor was as the research object to conduct the research of the diagnosis of canine mammary tumor and the detection and analysis of related predictive factors in the experiment.1. Research on clinical data from cases of canine mammary tumor: Disease history of sick dogs was investigated, clinical symptoms were observed and the detailed treatment process were recorded, at the same time, the relationship between the disease incidence and the breed, sex, age, reproductive status, diet, disease site and other factors of sick dogs were counted and analyzed, and the results show that canine mammary tumors often occur in hybrid dogs, Pekingese and Shih Tzu dogs especially in female dogs and dogs without birth control or ate high energy foods, the average age of pathogenesisis was 9 years old. The diseased parts shows an increasing trend from the chest to the abdomen, and higher incidence in the 3th, 4th, 5th pairs of nipples.2. Study on histopathology for canine mammary tumor: Surgically removed canine mammary tumors were placed in formaldehyde solution, then pathologic slices were made according to histopathology methods and exa mined under optical microscope, the results shows that canine malignant tumor mainly include Carcinosarcoma, Infiltrative ductal carcinoma, Lobular carcinoma in situ, Carcinoma simplex, Adenocarcinoma and with a higher incidence 70 % that 14 cases in 20 sick dogs; And the other 6 cases are benign tumour with a incidence 30 % and the benign tumour mainly include intraductal papilloma and fibrous disease.3. Detection on ER, PR, c-erbB-2 from canine mammary tumor: The expression of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and epidermal growth factor receptor 2 of tissue samples placed in paraformaldehyde solution were detected by immunohistochemical method, and the results show that the expression of ER, PR in benign tumors were higher than cancer, the expression result of c-erbB-2 were opposite compared with that of ER, PR.The results proves that canine breast tumor are likely to be with the similar pathogenesis to “Triple negative breast cancer” in human breast tumor in this experiment, and it’s valuable for dog to research the pathological model of human breast tumor according to the detection results of canine mammary tumors and related factors.
