As the clinical intractable case of small animals, the canine tumor disease has beenpaid more and more attention. In this study, the author collected104clinical cases of thecanine tumors in Year2012in Hefei through some researches and surveys; investigated therelationship between tumor diseases and canine species, sex, age and diet, etc. and madestatistical results by the clinical data collection records; made a detailed classification oftumors with benign and malignant differential diagnosis by histopathological examinationof32typical cases; explored the value of tumor markers in the early diagnosis of canineneoplastic disease, the diagnosis of a variety of malignant tumors and tumor screening bytumor markers determination in32cases of canine tumors. The results were as follows:1. Canine tumor diseases were closely related to canines’ species, sex, age and diet, etc. There were18varieties of canine which can get tumor diseases. Among these,Pekingese dogs and the Half-Blood dogs were the two common varieties (25.96%and19.23%), and Golden Retriever also had a high incidence rate (13.46%). The average ageof tumor canines was7.43years old, skin and soft tissue tumors was6.26years old, breastand bitches genital tumors was8.34years old, which showed that the breast and bitchesgenital cancers had a higher age than other tumor diseases. In general, the incidence of thetumor disease tended to occur in younger age of dogs.45cases of breast cancers were allfrom bitches’ cases.30in38cases of skin and soft tissue tumors were from male dogs, which took78.95%of the total;8in38cases of skin and soft tissue tumors were fromfemale dogs, which took21.05%of the total. According to the different eating habits ofcanines, the highest incidence rates were in turn the dogs which were fed with leftovers, partial eclipse, meats with rice, respectively reaching30%,27%,25%, taking82%of thetotal, while the lower incidence rates came to the dogs which were fed with pure dog foodand homemade food.2. Histopathological sections can be used as the basis of the determination of canineneoplastic diseases, which had certain significance to canine neoplastic disease diagnosis. The analysis of tumor tissue, cell morphology, degree of pathological changes, tumorgrade were made after observing the surgical tumor removal sample through themicroscope. The results showed that15cases in the32cases were malignant tumors (46.88%),10cases were benign tumors (31.25%),3cases were borderline or biologicalbehavior of undetermined tumors, patients with carcinoma in situ. Multiple squamous cellcarcinoma took60%of the total number of malignant.3. Tumor marker (TM) can be used as the basis of early diagnosis in canine tumors, which contributed to the diagnosis of a variety of malignant tumors, and can be used forcancer screening.Comparing to the benign tumor group and the malignant tumor group, the differenceof tumor specific growth factors (TSGF) was highly significant (P <0.01). In the malignanttumor group, the positive rates of five tumor markers combined detection was higher thanthat in the benign tumor group, and the combined detection rate for tumor markers washigher than the single marker detection rate. Between the breast and genital tumor groupand the subcutaneous and soft tissue tumor group, CA125and CA15-3were significantlydifferent (P <0.05).
