Yam is recognized as the nutritional type of vegetables with high medicinal value and economic value, but also an important export varieties of vegetables. Ditching yam is a necessary step yam harvest field work, although, in China plains, application and popularization of the ditching device is more and more mature, while in a hilly area it is dominated by the original state of the labor ditching. The suitable and professional development yam ditching equipment for hilly areas has just started, and there are no practical products. With the increase in the cost of labor force and outflow of rural labor force, the demand of yam harvest mechanization is becoming more and more urgent.Yam harvest technology for Fujian Mingxi County, as yam planting large county, requirements a small yam trencher, the research works are as follows:1) According to the requirement of yam harvest techniques to determine the main design parameters of yam ditching machine; according to the empirical formula of soil cutting by the blade in the process of resistance were determined, the walking resistance, soil discharging spiral resistance, as well as the fixed power consumption, to obtain the total power consumption of ditching machine, and select the appropriate engine and various hydraulic components based on the total power and other technical parameters.2) Learn from foreign experience and hydrostatic technology, yam take the walking system of sliding steering of yam ditching machine. Complete every part of yam ditching machine parts with Solidworks 2012 3D modeling, and complete the task of machine assembly and prototype analysis.3) Establish a seamless interface between Solidworks 2012 and Ansys 13.0, then make use of Ansys 13.0 Workbench to carry out the static analysis and modal analysis on the work of yam ditching machine frame. Through the static analysis of the ditching machine frame:stress and nodal displacement (deflection) maximum occurs in the support plate and chain sprocket support frame welding, respectively 119.49MPa,5.97e-4mm, which are less than permit deflections; so it is designed to meet the requirements of ditching rack on stiffness.
