Trencher has been widely using in foreign countries and except a few of trenchers from foreign country domestic ditchers have been using less in our country.In present, the scales of ditching construction projects are increasing.For example,the basic construction ditching,the laying of optical and electric cable and pipeline et al.are facing a huge ditching workload.Especially in the agricultural engineering fields, fertilization for fruit trees and ditching in farmland and vegetable garden are need great workload,which almost have been completed by manpower in our country.The work object of orchards,farmland and vegetable garden characterize that there are weed,tree branches and stones in the surface which are not smooth and there are roots in the underground.So general trenchers are difficult to be seasoned with the condition,which is poor.Therefore,the research of the trencher which is seasoned with our country's soil have an important significance for the improving to ditching efficiency,the decrease to waste of manpower and material resources and the enhancement for labor productivity.Ditching equipment is the key component of the trencher and the cutter is the important factor of influence to ditching quality,power consumption and vibration et al. So it is necessary to deeply research and analysis for the ditching equipment and cutter structure.In this paper,the ditching equipment was taken as study object,low power consumption,strong adaptability and better maneuverability were taken as goals and a chain-trencher which was accorded with agricultural need and applicable for the condition of orchards,farmland and vegetable garden was studied.In this paper,mostly work included:1.The development of domestic and overseas trenchers,the application to computer assisted analysis in the fields of agricultural machinery and the research to chain-trencher were systematically analyzed and the ditcher belonging to rotary chain-type trencher was confirmed.According to the working environment,agronomic requirements and the outcome of dynamical analysis,the basic parameters such as groove width and deep,forward speed,chain speed,productivity,resistance of cutting soil,cutting power consumption,total power consumption,power rate and cutting thickness and the overall project were confirmed2.The structural design and trial-manufacture of chain-trencher were developed. The trencher was made up of joint and transmission mechanism and ditching equipment. The functional testing was developed at the same time. 3.Analysis of kinematics and dynamics of the chain-trencher were systematically developed,the movement track of the cutter was obtained and the factors which influence the cutting resistance and power consumption such as forward speed,chain speed,inclination angle between level and ditching equipment,structure type of cutter et al.were analyzed and confirmed.The mathematical optimization model of cutting power consumption of ditching equipment which had sports parameters and structure parameters of cutter were built.Using the function of fmincon of MATLAB,the optimization model was solved at the same time,the optimization design parameters such as the line velocity of the chain of the trencher vl=1.7m/s,cutter thickness t=0.005m and back angleγ2=80 were obtained,and power consumption reached its least value,which was 1.26kw.4.Using Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics(SPH) and Finite Element Theory,the virtual simulation and test research of the process of cutting soil of the cutter of the chain-trencher were developed.With the software of PRO/E and ANSYS et al.,a virtual simulation model of interaction between the cutter and the SPH particle of soil was built. The movement state of flight and scatteration of the particle of soil driven by the cutter were studied,the dynamic process of the cutter cutting soil was discussed and the rules of effective stress and strain of the cutter and soil in the cutting process were obtained. The regression equation including the factors of the thickness,back angle and absolute velocity(line velocity of chain) of the cutter was established by virtual test.It can be concluded that the thickness,back angle and absolute velocity of the cutter have distinct influence on the power consumption of soil cutting and the absolute velocity of the cutter is the mostly influencing factor on the power consumption.The results of research for revealing the acting principle of soil-machine system,forecast and control of power consumption,optimizing the parameters of the trencher and cutter,and decreasing resistance and power consumption have important theoretical and practical significance.
