Analysis On Production Performance Of Jingding Duck And Youxian Partridge Duck The Polymorphism Of PRL Gene

This study was aimed to analyze the body weight, body size and reproductive behavior of Jinding duck and Youxian Partridge duck; Four types curve models as Wood, Compartmental,Yangning,and Cubic model were used to fit the egg production curve of them.PCR-SSCP method was applied to detect the polymorphism of intron lof prolactin gene and the association between gene polymorphism and laying traits was analyzed, which provided theoretical basis for breeding of Jinding duck and Youxian Partridge duck. The results were displayed as follows:1. Age at found egg and age at first egg of Jinding duck was 102 days and 134 days, respectively. Egg number at 300 days was 140.86±9.01, and the average egg weight at 300 days was71.53+3.58g. The fertilization rate of hatching eggs was 83.06±4.18% and the hatching rate of fertile egg was 79.92±3.97%. Furthermore, body weight at first egg was 1464.32±123.21g, respectively. Test the Jinding duck (male) in 300 day of age:Body length was 23.32±0.84cm; Keel length was 12.36± 0.62cm; Chest depth was 7.32±0.62cm; Chest width was 8.25±0.64cm; Shank length was 6.57±0.65cm; Shank girth was 4.33±0.32cm; Pelvis width was 6.29±0.73cm; Semi submersible was 51.01±2.42cm; Body weight was 1605.65±108.23g.Test the Jinding duck (female) in 300 day of age:Body length was 20.28±1.75cm; Keel length was 11.12±0.55cm; Chest depth was 6.97±0.45cm; Chest width was 7.94±1.25cm; Shank length was 6.49±0.57cm; Shank girth was 4.35±0.87cm; Pelvis width was 6.51 ±1.46cm; Semi submersible was 48.52±2.08 cm; Body weight was 1781.75± 97.85g.Age at found egg and age at first egg of Youxian Partridge duck was 90 days and 121 days, respectively. Egg number at 300 days was 148.54±8.25, and the average egg weight at 300 days was 67.51±2.96g. The fertilization rate of hatching eggs was 96.09±3.22% and the hatching rate of fertile egg was 81.40±4.35%.Furthermore, body weight at first egg was 1285.94±112.54g, respectively. Test the Youxian Partridge duck (male) in 300 day of age:Body length was 18.46±0.91cm; Keel length was 11.09 ±0.58cm; Chest depth was 7.48±0.48cm; Chest width was 6.62±0.58cm; Shank length was 6.34±1.04cm; Shank girth was 3.13±0.15cm; Pelvis width was 4.28± 0.87cm; Semi submersible was 46.80±2.05cm; Body weight was 1225.07± 87.66g.Test the Youxian Partridge duck (female) in 300 day of age:Body length was 17.01±0.72cm; Keel length was 10.13±1.66cm; Chest depth was 6.01±0.42cm; Chest width was 6.58±0.32cm; Shank length was 6.39±0.27cm; Shank girth was 3.37 ±0.24cm; Pelvis width was 4.31±0.14cm; Semi submersible was 43.92±1.89 cm; Body weight was 1253.82±98.51g.2. The degree of fitting of Jinding duck was 0.835,0.977,0.986 and 0.975 compared with above four models, among which Yangning model was highest and the value was 0.986. While the degree of fitting of Youxian Partridge duck was 0.89,0.985, 0.99 and 0.978, with the Yongning model was highest. Therefore, we can see that the degree of fitting of Yongning model in both breeds was highest, which suggested that Yongning model was more applicable to be used to analyze the laying curve.3. The results of association analysis revealed that a mutation (A412G) was found in intron of PRL of Jinding duck. Three genotypes of AA, AG and GG were detected among which the egg weight in AA was significantly higher than that in AG and GG (P<0.05). In addition, one same mutation was founded in the Youxian Partridge duck with same three genotypes, among which egg weight at 300 days of GG genotype was significantly higher than that in AA genotype (P<0.05). The results illustrated that mutation in intron of PRL was associated with egg weight at 300 days of Jinding duck and Youxian Partridge duck.
