The camel has the characteristic such as salt tolerance and drought tolerance. The study found that the camel of drought and salt tolerant gene promoter, likely require the involvement of calcium. Calmodulin is activated by binding with calciums, so, calcium can be expressed by calmodulin activation. In this study, adopt the immunofluorescence staining for camel to ban salt.ban water.filling salt and binge drinking after ban water, to study the Bactrian camel of calcium regulating in the renal cortex and medulla, duodenum, ileum, jejunum and colon of expression, in order to explore the relationship between calcium and related genes of Bactrian cam el. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Correct calmodulin gene sequence was cloned, and could express in Hela eukaryotic cells.2. After treatment in different ways, calmodulin can express in Bactrian camel renal cortex, medulla, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, colon. But in the different treatment groups, the expression strength is not same, that calcium content is higher in filling salt group and ban water group, followed by control group and binge drinking after ban water group, and lower in ban salt group.3. After treatment in different ways, expression sites of calmodulin in different tissues are not same. In the renal cortex, calmodulin expression is higher in renal podocytes and renal tubular proximal tubule, and lower in renal tubular distal convoluted tubule;in the renal medulla, calmodulin expression is higher in renal tubular distal convoluted tubule, and lower in tubule collecting tubules. In intestinal tissue, calmodulin expression is higher in villus epithelial cells in the duodenum, jejunum, ileum, but in the colon, calmodulin expression is higher in Intestinal glands.4. After treatment in different ways and in the defferent tissues, the expression of calmodulin variation explain the calcium changes, and indirectly shows the possible relathionship in calcium and gene expression of water and salt metabllism.
