This study researched growth rhythm and biomass productivity of 55-year native provenance Pinus massoniana Lamb. We adopted layered cutting methodto measureand record the fresh weight of trunk segments (with bark), large branches, twigs, dead branches, leaves in every segment. Used software of Excel and SPSS 18.0 to calculated the total growth mass, successive years growth mass and mean year growth mass of height, diameter at breast height, volume of wood and artificial form factor, and then draw the corresponding curve. We analysised the age, tree height, diameter at breast height, volume of wood and artificial form factorgrowth mass by curve regression analysis. Accorded to the analysis stem data of native provenanceP. massoniana, we fat 10 kinds of growth equation by used statistical package of SAS 9.3. Stand productivity was replaced by annual net biomass. The results as follows:(1)The allocation pattern in above-ground part of the single tree of native provenance P. massoniana in different diameter classes is:Trunk> Large branches>twigs>leaves; the below-ground part of the single tree is:Root roots>coarse roots>medium roots>fine roots.It is most obvious that the biomass accumulation in the trunk. The total biomass of tree layer in P. massonianaplantation is 468.64 kg every tree, the highest biomass is in the trunk,343.14 kg, the second is root,87.08 kg, and the lowest is leave,6.10 kg in every tree.(2)The annual net productivity of tree layer is 8.52 t·(hm2·a)-1, the net productivity of trunk is 6.24 t·(hm2·a)-1, the net productivity of root is 1.58 t·(hm2·a)-1. The order of the organs is trunk> root> large branches> twigs>leaves.(3)The growth rhythm:Through researching the growth rhythm of P. massonianaplantation, we found that the mean breast diameter is 45.31cm, the height is 30.06m, the wood volume is 2.3889m3 of 55-year P. massonianaThe total growth mass of 55-year P. massoniana is positive to the tree age, the successive years growth mass and mean growth mass of 12a-13a trees were curve intersect, and second intersect of 39a, this suggest that there exist second high speed growth stage in breast diameter of P. massoniana.The height of 55a P. massoniana is positive to tree age, and reached at 30.06m in 55a. Before 28a, the height of P. massonianabecome larger with age, at this stage, the tree height is high speed growth period.With the age grows, total annual growth mass, mean growth mass andsuccessive years growth mass of wood volume increased. The successive years growth mass and mean growth mass intersect at 40a, this suggest that P. massonianahave already quantity adult. The shape of trunk is better at the growth course, and get a better intact trunk, and then could obtain higher mill run.With the age grows, the successive years growth rate of the height, breast diameter and wood volume decreased in P. massoniana, and presented a first rapid and then slower trend. The growth rate of height and breast diameter maintain a gentle level at 13 a. The growth of wood volume can divide into three period:higher decreased speed of3a-8a, the slower decreased speed of 9a-17a, and flat and gentle period after 18a.(4)Construct growth model:Setting up curve equation of breast diameter, height, wood volume and tree age of P. massoniana. We concluded that the optimal equation of breast diameter is Gompertz equation, the optimal equation of height is Schumacher equation, the optimal equation of wood equation is Logistic equation.
