Research On The Application And Landscape Evaluation Of Bamboo In The Parks Of Hangzhou City

There are rich resources of bamboo in Hangzhou city, bamboo plays an important role inthe classical landscape and modern city landscape.We investigated the application of bambooin47parks belong to different regions in Hangzhou, summarized the bamboo species and themethods of landscaping. We analyzed the method for different configuration mode dependingon the primary and secondary relations of configuration and comprehensively assessed theapplication of bamboo in Hangzhou by using the method of AHP. The main conclusions are asfollows:⑴There are9genera,22species,5varietas and7forma bamboos in parks of Hangzhou,which accounts for the number34.6%of genera and13.8%of species bamboo resources inZhejiang province. The application of bamboo in Hangzhou parks is not abundant, thereforthe parks can plant more bamboos with high ornamental value and adaptability. Wesummarized the plant pattern of bamboo, single planting, row planting, chip planting, clumpplanting, paving planting, pot planting; the role of spatial layout, unified space, emphasizingspace, coordinate space, guide space, hidden space and delimited space. And analyzed thelandscaping practices about how the bamboo matching with the landscaping elements such astrees, buildings, roads, water, rocks, and sketches.⑵The landscape application of bamboo can be classified as main landscape, combinedlandscape, dotted landscape and background landscape objectively and comprehensivelyaccording to the primary and secondary relationships. Through case studies, we summarizedthe methods of different configuration mode which can provide reference for the bambooplanting in Hangzhou parks.⑶Through the landscape evaluation of30samples of bamboo application, the outcomeof the comprehensive evaluation index showed that7reached the first grade,17the secondgrade and6the third grade. The result illustrated that the quality of bamboo application inHangzhou is favorable. The bamboo forest and bamboo gardens which the bamboo as mainlandscape have highest evaluation score. And it is necessary to improve bamboo landscapelevel in the urban parks. Based on the above conclusions, we summarized the characteristics and problems aboutapplication of bamboo in Hangzhou parks, and put forward some optimized suggestions thatprovide reference and the theoretical basis for the further application of bamboo in thelandscaping of Hangzhou.
