Lily, one of the important bulbous flower in the world, are wonderful for breeding new cultivars.Using chromosome flaking methods, the ploidy and the karyotype of10Oriental hybrids and5Asiatichybrids have been analyzed in this research. The karyotype formulas have been made. After accountingthe approximation coefficient, the cluster have been analyzed. The results are the base research of thecytology for ploidy breeding, making crossing etc. There are the mainly results.1. All15cultivars are diploid,2n=2x=24. There are no aneuploidy been found by chromosomeanalysis.2. The karyotype of all15cultivars are the same as the Lilium common features, which they allmade by two pair of middle or submetacentric chromosome and10pair sub-metacentric terminal orterminal chromosome. The karyotype formulas list are (1) Acapulco,2n=24=4m(3SAT)+16st(4SAT)+4t,(2) Albion,2m=24=4m(3SAT)+14st(1SAT)+6t(2SAT),(3)Aruba,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm+14st(6SAT)+6t;(4)Bernini,2n=24=4m(2SAT)+18st(4SAT)+2t,(5)Con Amore,2n=24=4m(3SAT)+12st+8t(3SAT),(6) Mediterranne,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm+12st(3SAT)+8t(2SAT),(7)Siberia,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm+18st(3SAT)+2t(1SAT);(8)Sorbonne,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm(2SAT)+12st(2SAT)+8t(1SAT),(9)Star Gazer,2n=24=4m(2SAT)+14st(3SAT))+6t(2SAT),(10)Tom Pouce,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm(2SAT)+12st(4SAT))+8t,(11) Bananarama,2n=24=2m(2SAT)+2sm(1SAT)+12st(3SAT)+8t,(12) Italia2n=24=4sm(1SAT)+8st(4SAT)+12t(1SAT),(13)Lemon Tree,2n=24=4m(3SAT)+8st(1SAT)+12t(2SAT),(14)Toro,2n=24=4sm(3SAT)+10st(1SAT)+10t(2SAT), and(15) Zsazsa,2n=24=4m(4SAT)+18st(4SAT)+2t.3. There are only3B and4B two type karyotype being found in these15cultivars, which theOriental all10cultivars are3B, however, the Asiatic ‘Bananarama’ and ‘Italia’ are4B;‘Lemon tree’,‘Toro’ and Zsazsa are3B. It showed the symmetry of karyotype is poor. The number of satellite are6to8which been found from the No.1to No.10chromosome. There, the satellite founding frequency inthe No.1and the No.2chromosome are highest, but the satellite in the No.9chromosome is lower.There are no satellite found in the No.9chromosome.4. The relative length mobility scale of all15cultivars are from4.60%to13.93%. Thechromosome arm rate mobility scale are from1.17to17.00. The rates of the longest and the shortestchromosome arm are from2.00to2.86. The mobility scale chromosome arm rate are over2:1are from83.33%to100.00%.5. Depending the viewpoint about flower evolution, the bilateral symmetry one is initial, and thesymmetry one is evolution, the order of15cultivars are Bananarama, Italia, Lemon Tree, Toro, ConAmore, Tom Pouce, Aruba, Star Gazer, Sorbonne, Mediterranne, Albion, Siberia, Zsazsa, Bernini, andAcapulco.6. Using the cluster analysis system of the chromosome karyotype approximation coefficient,which development by Li Feng in2005, the mobility scale of karyotype resemblance-near coefficientare from0.8070to0.9799, and the mobility scale of karyotype valuation distance are from0.0203to 0.2144. When the karyotype resemblance-near coefficient is0.8937,0.9291and0.9410, the15cultivarscluster two class, four class and six class, respectively. Comparing the classification of chromosomekaryotype cluster tree to the classification of morphology, some feature are consistence, but somefeature are disagreement.
