The bulbs used in cut-flower production in our country are basically dependent on imports, which increases the cost directly and affects the development of cut-flower production and consumption seriously. Therefore, to make lily bulbs production domestic, we have to produce a large number of high-quality bulbs. Normally, there are two stages in lily bulbs production, bulblets production and bulbs production for cut-flower.Taking Lilium Oriental Hybrids'Sorbonne','Siberia', Lilium Oriental×Trumpe Hybrids'Manissa'and'Conca D'or'as materials, the scale propagation, transplant of test-tube plantlets, inflorescence bud removal and cold storage of bulbs have been studied. Besides, the key technology system of bulb production was established.1. The Bulblets Production(1) The effects of the position of scales, different plant growth regulators and concentrations on scales cutting of the Oriental Lily Sorbonne and Siberia were studied. The results showed that there was significant different among species, the Sorbonne outside layer scales with 100mg/L NAA can get the best result; Siberia outside layer scales with 150mg/L 6-BA can get the best result, Lecanosticta soil:perlite= 2:1 was the best substrate of Lilium Oriental hybrid.(2) The time to break dormancy of Oriental lily test-tube plantlets and various transplant substrates were studied, and the growth status one year after transplantation was determined. The results showed that the cold storage was necessary for test-tube plantlets before transplanting.28 days were appropriate. The best transplant substrate of Sorbonne was peat:perlite= 2:1, on which the germination rate got to 100% after transplanting. The best transplant substrate of Siberia was peat: vermiculite= 2:1, on which the germination rate reached 95% after transplanting.2. The Bulbs Production for Cut-flower(1) In order to reduce production cost, the commonly used substrate (peat:sand=3:1)was worked as a control to study the effect of garden soil mixed substrates on the production of lily bulbs. The results showed that the substrate which is garden loam(from Beijing Nursery of Da Dong Liu):peat: sand= 3:1:1 can replace the commonly used substrates in bulb production of Sorbonne, for the quality of bulbs only fell by 0.05 compared with control. For the production of Lilium Oriental×Trumpe Hybrids'Conca D'or', the substrate with component which were garden loam (from ShunYi, Beijing): Peat:sand= 3:1:1 can be substrate instead.(2) The effects of inflorescence bud removal at different time on bulb quality were studied. The results showed that there was significant difference between cultivars. For Llilium Oriental Hybrids 'Sorbonne', it was the best removing period when inflorescence bud was at 1cm, the circumference was 16.93 cm; for Lilium Oriental×Trumpe Hybrids'Manissa', the best period were between 1cm and 2cm, when removing inflorescence bud was at 1 cm, the circumference was 17.40 cm. For both of the two cultivars, when removing buds at flowering time and 5 days after flowering, the bulb size and nutritive substance were less than the control.(3)The fertilization experiment in the bulb production process were studied, the results showed that for Sorbonne and Manissa, the best fertilizer combination was N 120g/m3+P 150 g/m3+K 110 g/m3.3. The Bulbs Cold StorageThe respiration and endogenous hormone changes were studied during cold storage of Lilium Oriental Hybrids. The results showed that it took 9 weeks to break dormancy when the temperature was 1.5℃. During cold storage, IAA and ZR content were in the rise while ABA content decreased; at frist, GA1+3 content increased; at the 9th weeks they reached the peak and then declined; While the changes of respiration rate presented the U-shaped trend, at the 7th week respiration rate was significantly enhanced, which was 2 weeks earlier than the time to break dormancy.
